Burundi's President Calls for Judicial Integrity and Accessibility

On September 8, 2026, President Evariste Ndayishimiye inaugurated the 2026-2027 judicial year at the Kigobe Hemicycle in Bujumbura. Addressing the judiciary, he emphasized the necessity for an independent and accessible justice system that serves the population effectively.

President Ndayishimiye urged magistrates to perform their duties with rigor, ethics, and integrity, highlighting that such principles are fundamental to building public trust in the judicial process.
