Construction of first 11-megawatt photovoltaic plant begins this Thursday

The construction of the first 11-megawatt photovoltaic power plant in S03o Tomeé and Predncipe is set to commence in the igua Casada area of the Lobata district. This project results from an administrative investment agreement between the government and the private company RELEASE S03o Tomeé UNIPESSOAL LDA. The solar plant, expected to be completed by October 2026, represents a significant step in the country's energy transition, aiming to produce clean energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. The government has provided fiscal incentives to the private investor, who will invest 9 million euros in the installation.
