Delhi High Court to Hear Telegram Ban Case on June 18

The Delhi High Court is set to hear the case between the Indian government and messaging platform Telegram on June 18, 2026. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta indicated that the government possesses substantial evidence regarding the misuse of the platform. Telegram argues that the ban is overly broad and disproportionate. The court has granted the Centre time to file replies and supporting documents, with the next hearing scheduled for June 18.
