North Macedonian Citizen Detained for 324 kg Marijuana Seizure

A citizen from North Macedonia has been detained for 30 days following the seizure of over 324 kilograms of marijuana in Thessaloniki, Greece. The operation, part of the 'Vardaris' initiative, revealed that the suspect organized the transport of the narcotics disguised as recycled paper from North Macedonia to Turkey, via Bulgaria. However, the route was altered to Greece, where the drugs were concealed in a rented space in Thessaloniki. Greek authorities arrested two individuals during the operation, and investigations are ongoing.
