New President and composition of the Constitutional Tribunal in S03o Tomeé and Predncipe

Artur Vera Cruz has been unanimously elected as the President of the Constitutional Tribunal of S03o Tomeé and Predncipe and officially took office on February 25, 2026. Prior to this appointment, he served as a member and president of the Court of Auditors. Vera Cruz holds degrees in law and organization, a master's in management, and a PhD in Information Systems Management. During the installation session, he emphasized the need to preserve the institution's autonomy and cautioned against external pressures. Jonas Gentil was elected Vice-President, and the new composition follows the repeal of the interpretative law that led to the dismissal of the previous judges.
