Constitutional Court suspends congress of Patrice Trovoada's party

The Constitutional Court of S03o Tomeé and Predncipe has suspended the congress of the Aeêeèo Democreitica Independente (ADI) party, led by former Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada, which was scheduled for March 28. The decision came in response to a request from a group of ADI members who contested the alteration of the congress date, alleging violations of the party's statutes. The court declared the changes to the composition of the National Council without adherence to legal and statutory provisions as null and void, rendering any meetings based on this composition illegal and without legal effect.
