Former special advisor to S03o Tomeé and Predncipe's president detained by Interpol

A Swedish national, who held a diplomatic passport as a special advisor to President Carlos Vila Nova of S03o Tomeé and Predncipe, has been detained by the country's Judicial Police on the island of Predncipe. The individual was wanted by Interpol and was apprehended at a hotel. The detention occurred shortly after reports circulated on social media about an Interpol team being in S03o Tomeé for the capture, which was coordinated by the local Interpol brigade. The President's office stated it was unaware of the individual's international wanted status.
