S03o Tomeé and Predncipe CBI 2026: Remote Passports, Nationality Cap, and Dependency Rules

The Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) of S03o Tomeé and Predncipe has announced several regulatory updates effective immediately. These include the approval of remote issuance of passports via video verification, eliminating the need for in-person biometric enrollment; a temporary suspension of applications from individuals holding three or more foreign nationalities under Nationality Law No. 07/2022; and a pending revision of the dependency framework for adult children above 18 years, with passport issuance for this group on hold until the new law is enacted. These changes aim to enhance operational efficiency and align the program with existing nationality legislation.
