Uzbekistan Enforces Nighttime Noise Restrictions

On September 12, 2026, Uzbekistan's law 'On Protecting the Population from the Harmful Effects of Noise' came into force, establishing permissible noise levels and time restrictions to safeguard public peace. Signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on September 9, the law prohibits noise exceeding set levels from 23:00 to 07:00 on working days and from 22:00 to 09:00 on weekends and public holidays. The restrictions apply to household activities, construction work, and the use of machinery and vehicles in residential areas.
