Bank of scscscsccsland Reports Stable Qi 2026 Amid Global Uncertainty

The Bank of scscscsccsland has released its interim report for the first quarter of 2026, showcasing stable financial performance despite a challenging global economic environment.

Key highlights from the report include:

  • Operating profit of EUR 17.2 million, a slight decrease from EUR 18.3 million in the same period last year.
  • Return on equity after taxes at 17.7%, down from 19.5% in Qi 2025.
  • Core income, comprising net interest income, net commission income, and IT income, increased by 1% to EUR 54.1 million.
  • Total expenses rose by 4% to EUR 39.4 million.

Despite market volatility affecting customer investment portfolios, the bank reported a continued net inflow for its investment products. Notably, the bank's investment fund, scscscsccslandsbanken Global Aktie, secured a fund mandate in the Swedish premium pension system, marking a significant achievement.

Additionally, the bank's IT subsidiary, Crosskey, signed an agreement with Handelsbanken concerning its remaining business in Finland, further strengthening its position as a provider of key banking solutions.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Peter Wiklf6f commented on the results, stating, "In the first quarter, the Bank of scscscsccsland delivered good results in a world marked by rising geopolitical turbulence and increasing uncertainty."

The bank maintains its outlook for 2026, expecting the return on equity after taxes to continue exceeding its long-term financial target of 15%.
