ÎCCJ amânădecizia privind salariile magistraților

The High Court of Cassation and Justice (ÎCCJ) has postponed until August 20 the final decision in the case against the Government and the Ministry of Finance concerning the payment of outstanding salary rights to magistrates, amounting to approximately 5 billion lei. The Bucharest Court of Appeal had previously ordered the Executive to pay these amounts, including through budget rectification, stating that non-payment affects the property rights of magistrates. TheÎCCJ accuses the Government of violating the principle of separation of powers. During the trial, the Government requested the referral to the Constitutional Court to clarify the legality of courts imposing the allocation of additional funds.
